Now, she prioritizes her mental health and aims to build a supportive workplace. Itzyma's story inspires resilience in other young mothers and women, proving that persistence triumphs through tough times.

EP 7. Jae Sanchez: Rebuilding after a mental breakdown

Jae Sanchez is a neurodivergent latiné content creator who believes that mental health is at the crux of human intelligence and progress. After being diagnosed with major depression and suffering a mental breakdown, Jae faced a years-long struggle to find mental health and learn how to maintain it. For this reason they started Jae’s Truth Serum, where Jae shares personal stories and thought provoking lessons to help others bridge the gap between everyday life and mental health.

EP 6. Jen Melendez: Seeking a Better Life Away from Home

Meet Jen Melendez, a Puerto Rican woman who moved to the USA six years ago to improve her son's life, who has Angelman Syndrome. She opened VelazR7, an online gift shop, and is now an Angelman Syndrome advocate, using social media to raise awareness and push for better healthcare for affected families.

EP 5. Carly Harvey: Reclaiming your heritage

Based out of Washington, DC, Carly Harvey combines Blues, Jazz, Soul, and Indigenous American styles to produce a unique sound. She is the originator of the "Native Scat"—an improvisational fusion of a traditional Jazz scat with Native vocables.
Carly’s grandmother is Black and Mexican. While growing up Spanglish and Latin music and food were a big part of her life. Carly identifies as Afro Indigenous and deeply connects with the indigeneity of her Mexican side 

EP 4. Leslie Hidalgo: Fashion & Invisible Disabilities

Leslie owns and operates the lifestyle brand, Wildflower + Fox. She is a disabled Air Force Veteran and an Esthetician. Through her many challenges, Leslie turned to makeup and fashion as an artistic outlet. She found her true passion for skincare while attending the Aveda Institute, where she graduated as Valedictorian of her class. Now she collaborates with international beauty and lifestyle brands, creating content featured in social media marketing. Leslie  is also devoted to advocating for invisible disabilities and the service dog community, as well as, equity and inclusion within the beauty and fashion industry.

Author Abby Feria-MIxtec is helping children learn from an early age to not blame themselves for the actions of others.
In Latino culture We don’t speak enough about the mistakes of adults and how they affect kids Her book "Not Your Fault" is helping children to not feel alone and encourage them to keep going.
